What materials do you use to create custom 3D foam projects?
Selecting the right fabrication material: The majority of our projects utilize foam, specifically polystyrene foam, known as EPS. This type of foam is available in standard densities between 1. and 3 lb. We are here to assist you in designing and determining the appropriate material and fabrication technique based on your project's requirements budget.
How do you create the custom 3D project?

1. We can work with nearly all major CAD and 3D file formats. If you don have a file and need design assistance, our team can help bring your idea to life with our 3D Modeling and CAD Drafting services.
2. We begin by creating designs in our 3D modeling and CAD software, then modify the model for our CNC hot wire cutting machines to accurately cut the parts. After cutting, we assemble the pieces using a strong industrial adhesive. Based on the project's requirements, we may also utilize our advanced CNC for extra cutting and routing. Lastly, our Sculptors use precise sculpting and sanding techniques with a variety of small hand tools to complete the final finish before applying a hard coating.
3. Project Completion: There are various methods to conclude a project based on factors like durability needs, weather resistance, mobility, interactivity, strength, and painting requirements. Generally, the surface and applying protective coatings is essential. These finishes can include a mix of painting, air-brushing, or other coatings such as polyurea, polyurethanes, epoxy, bondo, and more.
